Opera Mini Beta Already Receives Its First Update and Opera Needs Feedback

Internet Explorer and UC Browser have long held their positions as the go-to browsers for Windows Phone users, but yesterday saw the launch of Opera Mini and the hope of a new experience coming to the wonderful world of Live Tiles.

A new update was already released this morning upon scanning via the Store, but so far it appears to be a bit of a bad egg, at least on the Nokia Lumia 822 and the Nokia Lumia 521. Upon opening the new update, the browser would crash and immediately return to the Start Screen (kind of like what seemed to happen with Xbox Music earlier this summer).

However, two devices doesn’t make the entire Windows Phone ecosystem, so it was worth looking into and apparently I’m not alone.

However, to be fair, Opera is asking the Windows Phone community for feedback, and it’s likely the crashing issue will be fixed pretty soon. The hours I did spend with the browser when it was working, though were pretty good. It just needs a little polish.

Are you experiencing the crashes? What do you think of Opera Mini beta so far? Sound off in the comments, and be sure to download Opera Mini if you haven’t already, using the embedded QR code. Finally, be sure to offer up your feedback via the Opera Forum.
